Dallas missing Brandan Wright.

No shot-blocking or interior defense of any kind whenever Tyson Chandler has to go to the bench for a rest. Charlie Villanueva and Greg Smith isn't going to get it done. Mavs need to find a replacement for Wright. Jermaine O'Neal would definitely be an upgrade over current options.

It's hard to see this team developing any type of consistency when their entire defensive system falls apart whenever their starting center goes to the bench.

Tyson is there only defender on the entire roster.   Gonna get killed in the playoffs.  1st round knockout.

Atlanta picking apart Dallas' defense with ease. They are a fun team to watch.

The Hawks have such an advantage with their big men. Millsap is one of the most versatile scoring PFs in the league. Mike Scott is a sweet shooting backup PF who makes almost 40% from three point range with half his shot attempts coming from there. Al Horford is one of the finest high post centers in the league. Pero Antic the backup center has three point range.

All four rotation big men have high level jump-shots relative to their position. It creates such fantastic spacing for the rest of the team. Even beyond those four, they have Elton Brand as 3rd string center (sweet midrange shot) and Adreien Payne (three point range) as 3rd string PF. All their bigs are fantastic shooters.

Rondo knocks down the 18 footer. Good fastbreak push by Rondo on next possession. RJ layup. Got RJ a wide open 3 in transition a few plays ago only for RJ to fumble the ball out of bounds because he wasn't paying attention.

Rondo not playing so well today but picking things up now.

Where is this Rondo aggressiveness shooting the ball coming from? He's looked so confident out there the last two games.

He's got 9 (9!) shots in the first half!

Clips throw 60 down on the Spurs in the first half.   Spurs answer with 72.

And Mavs fans aren't happy...

They haven't had to sit through years of a passive Rondo passing up open shots  ;)

Is Atlanta's D this good, or is this another case of the Mavs underperforming against a good opponent?

Dallas' defense is just horrible, and their transition defense is even worse.

They have been fantastic tonight. Usually a very good but not elite defensive team.
