So....Royce Young of ESPN.com reports that Thunder guard Anthony Morrow has a sprained left MCL and is expected to miss a minimum of four-to-six weeks, With Kevin Durant out for at least six-to-eight weeks with a broken foot, Morrow was in the running to join the team’s starting five.

Though it would have to be done as to separate transactions, they work in the trade machine:

Bass and Bynum for Perkins and OKC's 2017 second rounder owed from Memphis....

Aside from getting down to the requisite 15 roster spots, and picking up another draft asset. We get a 29 year old Perk who will be useful for 10-15 minutes a night of defense....

The value to OKC is obvious...

Outside of Rondo getting his buddy back why bring Perkins back? He brings no value to us at all. We have 900 2 round picks over the next few years. He is not in future plans.

The value is having better roster balance, with a real defensive 5, however limited. All of these are expiring contracts, so this is not so much about the future but about this year...

Value to OKC but not for us.  I think Bass can get more than Perk at the trade deadline.  Perk is done.

I disagree with you Perkins hasnt played real defense since he left Boston. If you want to trade Bass to a contending team im all for it. But to bring back Perkins  for 10 mins  a game is pointless to me. This team is rebuilding why give away time to a broken down shell in Perkins? I want to see Zeller play more. I want to see Powell play more.

OKC likes Perk.  This isn't a trade you make because you're down players in November.  If these injuries occurred in January or February, then it might make more sense.

Uh, who gets the best player?  Bass is 10x the player.
