CBS will have these guys playing hard for 48 minutes and will have the depth to keep up an above-average perimeter defense throughout. He will also have more consistent rotations, and buy in to a clearer offensive game plan. With the depth, we should be able to make up a little against most second units, and I expect us to be in most games to the end. Our shooting will be improved this year with Thornton, and improvement from KO, Sully and AB. Rondo has had a full year to recover and is in a contract year. No doubt our defensive frontline is a problem.

35-47

I'll be optimistic and say we get 30 wins.  We can do much better than 25!

37-45.  This team has enough depth and grit to compete on most nights, yet they won't be getting other team's A-games, so I see them getting close to .500.

Then, because of their lack of a tank-focus, the karma gods will shine on them and grant them the #2 pick in the draft - where they will nab their center of the future in Jahlil Okafor or Karl Towns.  ;D

If Rondo buys in and the whole crew comes out running we win 37 and challenge for a playoff seed. Lots of variables as always but I don't view the East as that tough a conference this year after the top 3 or 4.

An injury or two, a mid season trade or signing. Can change that number by 8 to 10.

44-38 and #5 seed

The East is weaker than last year, and we'll get Marc Gasol at the trade deadline.

34 wins. I think we will exceed expectations in the first 10 games then level off to comfortable mediocrity.

Just to recap the thread, thus far the projected wins by fabulous CB posters and posterettes have a floor of 25 wins and a ceiling of 44 wins....with Eric Van's 82-0 projection being the single outlier.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'd guess 26 wins if we don't make any impact moves.   Would be cool to see them surprise us, but 26 seems about right.

I'd say anywhere from 25-30 wins, with 30 being a pleasant surprise lol ;D.

35-47

This team is better in nearly every area than last year's team.  The rotation could be 10-12 deep with lots of players getting 20-30 minutes.  If someone isn't playing well on any given night Stevens will have 2-3 different options for replacing the player.  Last year's team had a chance to win in the second half well more than 50% of the games we lost.  If we win a third of those 30 games, we're at 35 wins.  Last year's team had no set expectations.  This year's team has a marker: 25 wins.  There is no way that Stevens and the guys on this team will let the team win that number or less; they will move heaven and earth to exceed that number by a healthy margin.  I think the entire organization secretly would be extremely disappointed with anything less than mid-thirties in terms of wins.  After the trades last year, it was clear the team wasn't prioritizing wins and you could see the air coming out of the team after that.  I don't think Ainge will do the same thing this year with any key players: either they'll stay or he'll trade them for equal or superior value.  I don't think there's a lot of dumping left to do, and we don't need to stockpile more picks.  The team will pretty much remain intact (one word) into the second half of the season and should get into the mid-thirties in wins.

No trades , losing players or gaining .....as is  maybe ...31 and 51  being optimistic.

At the end if the season .....because Celtics are so young ....they could make a push as older team rest their stars .
Baring injuries .....I look for a strong last 20 games.
