The 2014 to 2015 season is almost upon us. Now is the time for us all to summon up our predictive powers, put our TPs where our mouths are, and show the CB world what we are made of.

What do you think the Celtics win-loss record will be this coming season? Please keep in mind that this thread will be resurrected after the season is over so that we can reward the top prophets with TP riches.

I will start... our beloved Boston Celtics will end this season with a 30-52 record, topping the poo poo platter of last year at least.

P.S. I don't now how to do polls or I would have added one. Mods, feel free to throw one in if you wish.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

This Celtics team is very hard to predict because there are so many variables, so many directions the team could go in, and trades upon the horizon. If everything goes well, we stay healthy, our youngsters make good leaps and big step improvements upon last year, our veterans play their roles this team could be as high as a sixth seed. If we play like most teams in our situations would, have our good days, our bad days, our injuries, chemistry issues, we could fall down to 13th.

I'd put our range anywhere from 6 - 13th place in the East and out win totals anywhere from 25 - 40.

In the end I will say we finish 35 - 47 and a 9th seed in the East.

Of course this is barring any homerun trades we might make to put us back into quick contention.

34-48.  If we trade Rondo or trade for a quality player to put next to him it can vary by a few wins.

4th quarter execution: do we have the players to get it done, and then will CBS play them or experiment?

38 wins, just out of the playoffs, but still playing meaningful games during a late season run.

“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Anything else would be an under-performance and/or Rondo didn't come to play at his level.

Take into consideration that our crappy team last year was on a 32-win pace before Lee was traded. I think we're significantly better right now.

Even with a healthy Rondo not being traded and everyone performing near 100% of his ability without any injuries, 35 wins is the upper limit. But this is a lot of "ifs".

This. The schedule to start the season is rough.. but it seems like Brad Stevens will keep them fighting. They'll probably go on some good stretches in the middle of the season when the games don't matter much.

I want to be wrong as quickly as possible so I don't agonize over this for months.

Thanks for clarifying, wasn't sure where to place the ceiling so went with 42 wins arbitrarily.
