I think a lot of us saw this coming a mile away...Nash is just cooked.  Just retire and get it over with.  Great great player, sad to see him go out on a bad note in LA.

No loss for the Lakers. Nash was liability.

The Lakers can get comparable play from most 3rd string PGs.

Looks like Nash is following the Kobe route for his next big contract!

They'll get an injured player exception and still only have to pay about 15 percent of his salary while the insurance picks up the rest...unless his existing back injury prevented insurance.  I was cheering for him to play at a high level late in his career until he signed with LA and then I was hoping he would age quickly.  It's still a shame.

For those who were wondering, Will Bynum makes about $27K too much to fit into the trade exception from the Steve Blake trade with Golden State, so the Celtics can't flip him to the Lakers for one or more second-round picks.

Welp.  Terrible end to a great career.

Yeah, it's time, and if we're being honest with ourselves, it's been time for him to hang it up for the last 2 years.

Nash aided in helping sink the Lakers ship.....an old washed up guy ...LA spent heavy in money and pick to get.......demise of Kobe by age and injury....his fleecing them with his new contract...death of Dr Buss......firing of multiple coaches ......rejection of Phil a Jackson .....rise of Clips ......loss of Howard .....on and on the list goes .....

I have to stop here....

I need a handkerchief  to weep on ......

Here's mine big guy. I know it's a little wet but the Lakers might be relevant again in 7-10 years Although, if you really wanted to play in LA, why not play for Doc? No-o-o-o my beloved Fakers playing second fiddle to the Clippers!!

Give me that hankie back.

Nah.  That's not how guaranteed contracts work.  Not his fault he got injured playing for the Lakers.  They'll be fine after insurance compensation kicks in.
