Chris Forsberg ?@ESPNForsberg Filed to ESPN: Celtics are finalizing deal to send Joel Anthony to the Pistons in exchange for Will Bynum, according to league source.
Chris Forsberg ?@ESPNForsberg Story coming, but the move appears to be related to roster flexibility. Team saves $900,000 in swap. Anthony was on roster fringe.
Swapping Anthony, who is set to make $3.8 million this season, for Bynum, who will earn $2.9 million, will save the team $900,000.

Guessing a min salary player going the Pistons way could be happening as well
Wow, more guards? We got Who's binky! I wonder if Pressey is included in the deal, or Powell for that matter.

Its a sweet deal to save a few bucks but it doesn't cut the roster spot, so a min must be going along with him?I would have to think Pressey is in the deal...But would Pressey and Anthony for Bynum work salarywise?
I ask you guys talking about small ball, is it really a move about "small ball" when the player going out wasn't going to sniff the floor in the first place?

I think they would rather keep Bynum, but I also know that Stevens seems to be a fan of Pressey, so there's that. I don't know, probably Bynum being older just makes waving him that more plausible. We'll see.
