Very decent job on the defensive games 2 games in a row.   Yes the pair may struggle against some really athletic frontcourt pairs , but also gives us the best chance to prevent easy baskets under the basket.  Better than having Sullinger or Bass out there.  Sullinger should be coming off the bench.

I like seeing two seven footers defending the basket.
Plus, Olynyk is outside and Zeller is inside on offense.

IMHO Sully deserves more playing time than Zeller.
-he has way more potential than Zeller
-he is already a superior player, especially attacking and rebounding.

Look at Sullingers +-. He is mediocre to weak on the defensive end. Except for grabbing defensive rebounds.   He is poor in the PNR, weakside defense, blocks no shots

On the offensive end , all he does is shoot the three.   Maybe thats not really his fault and more on stevens for encouraging him to keep shooting from deep.

Bottom line is, having Sullinger + Zeller or KO is not a better option on the defensive end vs Zeller + KO.  There is more spacing on the offensive end also

There is no doubt that Sully is a superior player to Zeller. The problem is that both he and KO are 4s. I would think about starting KO and Zeller together, and still play Sully 25 - 30 minutes per, moving KO to the 5 against the second string centers...

Sure, these are valid points, but again I think developing talent is what matters most in this team, and Zeller has almost nothing to develop.
IMHO both Kelly and Sully will take more playing time than Zeller despite the obvious defensive problems you mention.

+1. We could also use a legit backup C to work with Sully. Gobert would be perfect

Sullinger is the best big we have in our roster. You guys are on a trip.

I like the KO/Zeller thing as well so far.  Size usually helps.

I still like Sully/KO as well.

Sully would be a powerhouse off the bench.

Like Thornton.

i guess you haven't been watching him closely on the defensive end. He has zero blocks so far

KO and Zeller each have several

Are you going to bring up block stats as measure of good defense? Come on now. That's just plain lazy.

Sully messed up his offseason by basically doing nothing to improve his body.    Bc of his iq he doesn't get as burnt as much as he should on the defensive end.

I like Sully but if you have seen most of our preseason games, we have been getting beat up pretty good under the basket (KO/Sully duo). On the other hand KO/Zeller duo has been really good.  They make it hard for the opponents to drive in to score layups or best make them have second thoughts

Too bad we didn't get him before he broke out and discovered he could play.   He is untouchable now.

Guys he would start here and not be a backup!
