TP for you!  This was a bad game. Sixers were terrible and C's really weren't a lot better, especially on defense.

'The more the merrier' is not applicable to human suffering.
The only thing that made me feel better was reading the posts at the Sixers blog.
According to a recent research there is a high correlation between watching Sixers games and premature death by boredom.

Seriously now, despite the win, our offence looked pretty disorganized. Philly must have the worst defence in the League, and yet at moments our guys got stuck with the ball in their hands or made crazy shots.
As for our defence...
The only good things is that we have lots of depth this year. At least two descent choices in every position. And unlike what happened so often last year, we were able to keep the point advantage to the very end. Going to bed, it is 4.30 am over here...

This is the problem with the Cs and probably every rebuilding team. We trot out starting lineups comprised of backups.
Celtics fan for life.

The recap says Philly's coach, GM and a player all missed the game to be with Embiid after the death of his brother.  I appreciate the sentiment but I don't know if it is wise to let a young man know he's that much the center of your universe.  I can't imagine some of the other players are happy to have their own unimportance so publicly emphasized.

In their Quest to Tank, the Sixers could easily produce a toxic team culture that will swallow up all their lottery picks and spit them out on other teams.

Unfortunately, this seems to be Stevens' style of play, even without a roster of 3-point marksmen.  Personally, I'd prefer it if our number of free throw attempts was exchanged with our 3-point tries, so that we'd shoot 15 3s a game, but shoot 30+ free throws, but I guess that that's just me.

Aside from the occasional exploitation/post up of a mismatch (which Doc never emphasized or implemented when he was here, I might add), all we do is pick and roll crap and shoot 3s.  I hate to dampen your optimism, but we really don't have an offense, aside from running.  The NBA game now lacks so much skill it's not funny, with the only, "system," that puts a premium on intelligent basketball, as well as player and ball movement, is the triangle, ugh, which, quite honestly, is like the idiot's guide to classic basketball.  Actually, that's not true - Eddie Jordan used to run the Princeton Offense, didn't he?  If the Celtics want to learn how to play, go watch the UCONN Women - they're the only modern representation of Boston's basketball from the 80s.  If they don't want to do that, however, they could always search on YouTube ;D.  Seriously, how hard can finding this stuff possibly be, lol?

That is not good team and grieving culture for the 76ers to do that. I lost someone close to me recently and while I know that it's nice to have your guys 'have your back' it's nobody's business but your own,

I don't know how successful it'll be, but solely for style points I kind of like the "bombs away" teams. I'm also the kind of person who fake punts every time in Madden. That said, if Sully can  elevate himself to adequate from downtown this year, I think we have a pretty good stable of shooters. Green, Bradley, Olynyk, and Thornton are all pretty reliable from outside.
