Houston in: Rondo, Bass, Fav

Cs in: Sanders, Capela, Nick Johnson, Daniels

Mil in: 2015 1st & 2nd from Houston, Powell & Anthony

Why it works: Houston want Rondo, They trade some picks, players for him. Milly is a tanking team but they've no 1st next year. They get one & some 2nd for Sanders. We swap Rondo for Sanders & also shed the payroll.
We now have:
PG: Smart, Pressey, Daniels
SG: AB, Thornton, NJ
SF: Green, Turner, Young
PF: Sully, K.O, Crash
C: Sanders, Capela, TZ

Thoughts?

I don't think the Celts get back enough in this deal.

I would rather hang onto Rondo for the long-term deal or at least see if better offers than this come along.

awful.

Rondo > Sanders.  Rondo has so much more impact on a game.  Sanders and flotsam isn't enough for Rondo, Bass and Fav.  Sanders will not draw ANYONE to play with him in Boston.  Middle-of-the-road talent.  the intent of this deal must be to have this team tank for years and saddle it with Sanders contract for a few more years.

Houston gives up nothing of consequence to land the best player in the deal.

Milwaukee doesn't get much for giving up Sanders either--> A very late first, an inconsequential second, a guy no one else wants in Anthony and a guy that's likely to be cut from the C's roster by the end of camp.

Milwaukee can do better than a late first rounder and a late second rounder for Sanders.
