  • Are you worried your life expectancy is not long enough to see banner 18 high up?
  • Do you get painful flashbacks of Vitaly Potapenko when you hear the words 'Tyler Zeller'?
  • Do you talk to your children, wife and unknown people at parties about how your team gave up Pierce and KG for Gerald Wallace?
You are not alone. Do not let the optimists distract you with BS about Evan Turner being a late bloomer, M. Smart a miniature KG of monstrous determination and will-power, and KO the next D. Nowitzki.
Repeat after me: "My name is X and I am a Celtics fan"
This is a thread for you to share your sorrow and pain...

TP! Who knows what happens in '10-'11 if we didn't trade Perk for Green and what turned out to be Fab Melo?

Marcus Smart shoots like a guy in-bounding a soccer ball!

Can't we at least wait for a losing streak in meaningful games before we start this?

I think the team lacks the needed level of talent but at least give me the preseason to just dream about the what if.

Don't take this personally but

This was actually a really cool quote. 8)
But we as fans are not actors in this situation, and our behavior (unlike that of the coaching team, players, management etc) is largely irrelevant to the course of events.
So, we can enjoy pessimism as much as we like without putting in peril the success of the team.
Unless - is that you Danny?

Are we doing quotes???

Quote from: Dale Carnegie
"We are incredibly heedless in the formation of our beliefs, but find ourselves filled with an illicit passion for them when anyone proposes to rob us of their companionship. It is not the ideas themselves that are dear to us, but our self-esteem which is threatened. We like to continue to believe what we have been accustomed to accept as true and the resentment aroused when doubt is cast upon any of our assumptions lead us to seek every manner of excuse for clinging to it. The result is that most of our so-called reasoning consists in finding arguments for going on believing as we already do."

I came to terms with what this team was going to be this season. then I got a little excited after I heard we were going to be an aggressive, attacking team. then I saw all the jump shots we were taking.

and I don't like hearing "we missed a lot of 3's". If we miss shots? I don't care, it's the fact that we aren't "attacking" and playing to get jump shots.

and i'm i'll but sold on the notion that Sullinger is ruined. trade him now before his value gets any lower.

I am a lazy person, so I happily jump on the quote train.
A quote is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself, always a laborious business. A.A. Milne

Yeah but I interpreted that twisted take on the Brk trade as setting the tone for the thread (tongue in cheek), and not a real assessment about what that deal was about.
