Trade deadline deal: Former LSU Tigers Bass and Thornton plus picks for Eric Gordon. They are gonna have to shed payroll to be able to pay you get guys soon.

Them draft big in the draft to replace Bass.  The 2015 draft has a lot of good bigs. Maybe combine picks and move up.

Eric Gordon makes too much money to be brought in as a backup for Avery Bradley.

And we don't need to draft anyone to replace Bass, we already have Sullinget and Olynyk

Maybe I had this all wrong.  Would the Pelicans give us a first round pick in 2017 if we took Gordon off their hands.  We give them Bass, Thornton, and a couple of 2nd round picks.

If we gave them Bass and Thornton, we don't need to give up picks.  Thornton would give them everything they're getting from Gordon.

Still not seeing the point of the trade unless it's to get another first rounder

A first rounder from a team that has the potential to be a low pick, plus picking up Gordon's high salary?  Just say no....
