Figured I'd start a thread for this since I didn't see one up..
Anyone watching the AL wildcard game right now??
Incredible stuff by Kansas City coming back and forcing extras. Great way to open up the postseason

Instant classic! I'm kinda rooting for the A's because half the team is ex-Sox, but I also feel for the long suffering Royals fans. I don't really have a dog in this fight, I guess.

Just woke up and saw KC came back and won. Wow.

Good for that city. 29 years is a looooomg time between playoff appearances.

I'm happy for KC, and will root for them against the Angels.

That said, the A's are my second-favorite team after the Sox, and that was a WRETCHED pitching performance from Oakland. Leads of 2-0, 7-3, and 8-7—all blown. Awful.

It's hard for me to get behind the one and done wild card playoff thing.

Royals load bases all on BB's nobody out in the top of the 9th and get nothing out of it. Anybody watching? Aside from the 'Sox being absent, these are the best MLB playoffs that I've ever seen.

Bumping this for the World Series.

Unless you're a Giants fan, this has been a lame Game 1, with the Royals already out of it in the first.

Yeah this game sucked and I'm watching a Law & Order marathon now.

Someone switched these Royals to evil.

My Giants got their bats back. I think the long week killed what momentum the Royals have. But aint over yet though.

The Giants pitching though?

MadBum once again was masterful. Royals sneak a homerun there in the late but man, on the road, he's unflappable.

It's crazy how the Giants could win 3 out of the last 5 years and get like, no press for it. All I remember is that Buster Posey video-game commercial, which was really funny. Think about it. They could win three times in five years and it'll be on ESPN for like 5 minutes in between the Bears locker room problems.

I'll be okay either way, but kinda leaning towards the Royals just because I feel like their fans deserve it. I was 5 the last time the Royals were great. Probably a lot of these posters don't even know who Kevin Seitzer and Mark Gubiza were. I had their '87 topps cards and everything!

You're right about the Giants not getting much press, and I'm guessing it's because they don't have any stars or big-time personalities. I'm pulling for the Royals, and looking forward to the Sox getting back there.

The Royals gave us a beating, got us back. Just straight up bullied every pitcher in the 6th.

It will be an even series coming back here in SF. Will be an exciting next few days.

I agree it's a case of lacking stars, or more specifically lacking big time names in their lineup. They sneak up on people because after Posey, Sandoval and Pence, the rest of those guys just aren't household names. They aren't viewed as a contender by people who aren't paying attention(I'm guilty), and thus they continue to lurk underneath ESPN's radar.

I predicted a Dodgers/Angels World Series. Yeah, I'm a tool.

Edit: Posey and Bumgarner are undoubtedly stars, though.
