wow, the MLB season is ending already. been following the various races, and, on the last day of the season, there's still quite a bit at stake; seattle and oakland are 1 game apart for the last wild card; detroit and KC are 1 game apart for their division; ST louis and pittsburgh are 1 game apart for their division; pittsburgh and san fran are 1 game apart for home field for the 1-game playoff, as are KC and oakland... that's SEVEN games with playoff significance.
and yet, none of the relevant games are on national television, instead we're treated to just 1 game, sox/yankees on TBS, jeter's last game. yet another example of MLB losing chances to create excitement for their sport. what are they doing?
