Looks like Rich Paul's tactics worked.  So much for that "he's an idiot and he's costing Bledsoe tons of money" argument.  ::)

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

In other news Greg Monroe was last seen crying into a very stiff drink.

He was subsequently seen urinating on himself.

Good news for Cs fans - Bledsoe didn't command a max contract from anybody. If we can get Rondo for just a couple of million more, we should consider ourselves happy.

Bad news for the Suns - triboy is right, Dragic should be getting [at least] the same contract.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Dragic is going to want the same

Dragic should demand more - Bledsoe has never played a full season as a starter and he just got $70m.

With the salary cap expected to be significantly higher within the next couple years (maybe at least 20 percent increase) maybe it's so bad.  To compare it's probably more like a 10 to 12 mil a year contract before the big increase in cap.

Yeah, Phoenix paid him too much.

I was mildly interested in Bledsoe when he was a free agent, but for 70 mil over 5 yrs?

No thanks.

Would rather have Rondo.

If Rondo isn't back next year and if Smart isn't quite yet ready for "prime time," then Dragic would be a great target for the Celts.

Glad it was not us.   That is too much for what he brings to the table.

Risky move. He's a great fit in Pheonix and they would've been sorry to see him sign the QO. But they'll be even more sorry if he continues getting injured.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
See I don't understand why the Suns didn't just want someone like Greg Monroe on their team. Dragic did really well without Bledsoe, and now that they have an influx of point guards, and IT stating that he would like to be starting, there is definitely going to be an logam of minutes especially with Ennis on board. I can see Ennis seeing a few minutes, and being sent to D-League, but once he at least seems ready, who is going to get their minutes cut?

Saw this on Canis Hoopus last week:

And the prognosis on his injury going forward is not good: Phoenix's medical staff has put a 9 year shelf life on his knees, with a 50% chance of a major injury reoccuring in that time.
