You would prever a 28 year old SF who averages 16,9  ppg on 41% and 4.7 rpg over a guy who averaged 14.6 ppg on 46,4% and 7.0 rpg as a 21 year old?

Harris has huge potential, thats what a rebuilding team needs.

Not sure anyone in the NBA really sees "huge potential" from Harris. He's a really good young player but I sort of doubt he ever becomes a quality starter on a playoff team, and I like him a lot. He's very similar to Sully in build (not as bulky obviously) and in stats so I'm not sure I see him as the blue chip ideal for Rondo we'd hope for. I will say that the Pistons would jump all over that. Move Monroe (going to leave) and BJ (not a great signing) for Rondo. That is a coup for them. I'd ask for KCP or an unprotected pick too. Magic probably do it too. that is an upgrade for them and not a ton of risk.

Okay you're right, maybe i'm a bit too hyped  ::)
But I would make that deal anyway, especially if we could get a pick or a nice young player in addition

How about this instead

DET trades: Monroe, Jennings and a second rounder
DET receives: Rondo

ORL trades: Harris, Vucevic
ORL receives: Monroe, 1st rounder, a second rounder

BOS trades: Rondo, 1st, Olynyk
BOS receives: Harris, Vucevic, Jennings

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Really depends how you feel about Vucecvic and Harris. And Jennings. Too rich for too risky in my opinion.
