Minnesota wants to pay Bledsoe the max but they don't have room. We can help them get out from under Kmart's awful contract if they give us a quality young player, either Dieng or (unlikely) LaVine. They still need to S&T with the Suns but now it's far easier. Suns could take on a less distasteful contract like JJ Barea's.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Good idea. Hard part is trying to give the Suns something they actually want in return for Bledsoe.
I can't see it happening because of that.
Only thing I could see working (in a dream of course), would be something like:

Suns get: James Young+Clippers pick+Kevin Martin+ Cory Brewer

Wolves get: Bledsoe

Celtics get: Dieng, Archie Goodwin

Suns might want Brandon Bass or Bogans expiring more than K Mart though.
Very unlikely but I'd love Goodwin and Dieng (especially Dieng).
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'd do the trade you proposed in an instant - but not sure Minny would give up Dieng just to free up space for another player.

they'd definitely want to keep Deing to pair with Bledsoe. With the way Deing played this summer he's going nowhere with a couple first rounders. Even then he'd probably still be staying put.

If your goal is for the TWolves to clear cap space to sign Bledsoe to an offer sheet, it's not happening and the Celtics would not be looking to take on additional salary because that puts them into luxury tax territory.

Since the Suns reportedly are not interested in what Minnesota has to offer, the only way the Celtics can help is if they give Minnesota that All-Star or potential All-Star that Phoenix supposedly wants.  It should be obvious that the Celtics would be stupid to do that.

Young>Dieng
How do you know that?  Young hasn't even played in a game yet.

They are not trading Deing.

Suns know that the Wolves can't sign Bledsoe without a trade. They have a week to work something out. Three way is the only way to do it. They have talked about buying out J.J. Barea. Not clear that the C's need someone like him unless Rondo is on the way out. Not sure what T-wolves have, but the C's do owe them one after the Garnett trade.

We also have a lot of unguaranteed contracts that would be helpful in making this work (Bogans). Suns will milk the clock to get the most out of it. A seperate trade with the C's to open up cap space might be less painful. Marcus Thorton might also be a consolation prize although Martin might be more desirable.

Phoenix: Rondo

Minnesota: S&T Bledsoe

Boston: Dieng, Barea, Budinger, Top 5 protected 2015 pick from Minnesota or Phoenix

C's of course. Dieng = Tony Battie. JJ and Bud are fodder. Protected late lotto pick.

Come on man.
