My picks:

6: Doug McDermott 17: BRUNO CABOCLO Undrafted: Eric Moreland

I like Caboclo at 17, but Ougie at 6? Cmon. Even MJ thought he better take Stauskas instead.

6. Marcus Smart
17. Gary Harris (Young was my 2nd choice)
Undrafted - we really don't have the roster space, but if forced to chose I'd have preferred Patric Young.

Hey they're not called 'hot takes' because of their easy handlibility. They're hot takes because they burn your fingers with their brilliance.

I'll be bold and go two super late picks: Kyle Anderson and Clint Capela. The undrafted two obvious choices would be Pat Young and CJ. I have a soft spot for Pat so I will rank him ahead of CJ but behind my boy Drew Crawford. Not that Crawford will amount to anything, but throwing the good ol' NU some love

Elfrid Payton...nice pick.

But the thing about point guards, at least in drafting a franchise cornerstone, is that I feel like it's the deepest position in the league.

If you could make a list for every position, and the criteria was, 'Name all the players in the NBA you'd be comfortable with at this position being your 3rd best player on a championship team', the list at PG would I believe be by far the longest. Who was the last ROY who wasn't a point guard? MCW, Lillard, Irving, then Blake Griffin? This year is the first year in a long time that I think a point guard might not win it.

very good thread indeed, indeed.  ;)

smart at #6, easy pick. he was the bpa.

#17 is dicey indeed, but capela impressed me. so let's go with him.

undrafted? what a crap shoot this one is...i follow danny's lead and take no one. the roster already has enough marginal players.

oh, and a tp for the thread.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Thanks for the love, hwangjini, and I love the J Randle pick.

You want a dark horse for ROY? Call Katy Perry, cuz his name is Julius Randle.

Danny Ainge got it right 100%

Nobody ever said 'you're as smart as Danny Ainge' and meant it as an insult .

Well at least I've never said that. He's a smart dude.
