Can we look back and say it was a weak draft?

Yes?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

You forgot the part where Ray Ray winds up getting his jersey retired in Milwaukee after hitting a game winning three over... uh... we need another GUARANTEED SUPERSTAR that Ainge missed.

Of course he hits the game winner in game 6, and by the time he finishes replaying the moment in his mind he realizes that game 7 has come and gone.

I'd guess the other guaranteed star Danny missed out on was James Harden, who he should have insisted on in that Perk trade, or even KD, since Danny didn't tank hard enough to get him that year.

I really don't have the time to research but please tell me the other 22,000+ posts weren't about would'a, could'a, should'a???

Don't let me spoil it for you. Do the research.

Question - how can you put Noel in that first five when he has yet to play a game in the NBA?  For that reason alone, the Greek Freak should be in the first 5, imo.

Who you would take in a re-draft is still based mainly on potential.

The Greek Freak.

Yes?

Of course we can't.  It's way too early to make that call.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Nerlens grew up on the street behind me and went to school from 6th grade with my son. Been watching him swat balls and dunk on people since he was 13 years old.

Question is, with me, how could Nerlens NOT be in the top 5 regardless of how many games he played?

But Len Bias...

Under the same thought process, we should have at least another couple championships.

Ryan Anderson is basically a seven foot tall high volume shooting guard.

Not a good thing, not a bad thing, but that's more or less what he is.

Exactly, which is something Olynyk projects not to be. That's why I didn't get the comparison or even hope for him to reach that level. I already think Oly is more diverse so I couldn't care less if he reaches Anderson's "level" or not.

+1
olynyk is a better passer, much better ball handler, and is more efficient around the rim.
kelly could be a dynamic offensive player in this league, something anderson will never be.

His ceiling is Ryan Anderson unlike the Greek Freak who has the ceiling of Paul George. Which would you rather have if KO wasn't a Celtic?

Ceiling of Anderson? Let me guess.. it because he's tall and can shoot the 3? KO is nothing like Ryan. At all honestly speaking. Not even close. I wouldve understood HAwes.Have you seen Ryan play more then once? honestly to me GIannis Ceiling is Jeff Green.. its almost disrespectful to mention him with George or Durant. His assist seems like he gets them by mistake when he plays

Have you seen him play against other top players in the country at that age?  The only reason I ask is I expect most if not all first round picks to dominate when they were in middle school.  Even saying that some kids are late bloomers, and some level out really fast after being really good at that age.

With my small sample size watching him I think Noel can be a Marcus Camby type player.  Who would you compare him too?

Yes?

I'd say it looks unusually weak at the top so far, though there's still time for guys like Bennett and Porter to redeem their spots.  But the mid- to late-1st is looking pretty deep.  MCW, Adams, Olynyk, Giannis, Dieng, Hardaway, Plumlee, Wolters - all look like legit players and all were outside the top 10.  A few more guys might join them when they get their opportunities.

Of course we can't.  It's way too early to make that call.

Then when, pray tell, does it stop being 'too early?'

I think 3 years is typically when you see whether or not a guy can play. Their are obviously exceptions but after 3 years of getting minutes most players don't make huge strides one way or another.
