I have a hard time believing there were 7 teams better than the '07-08 Celtics team defensively (just utterly amazing to watch) but given the top 4 all have Russell, I'm not gonna fight it, either.  ;)

just awesome! the 08 championship was ranked #8, and top 4 were all celtics in the bill russell era!!!

He is not even jumping high in the pic too, just high enough to block it with arm stretched out level.   Block a guy shot with arm being level or elbow it really gets in their head because you can go a lot higher.   Also, note how it is going right to his team mate to start the break.   Russell never sent them in the stands if he could start the fast break with a block.

Hahaha, I didn't even notice that part.  He's like, "Oh crap, Russell is contesting that shot, I better get my hands up and so I'm ready to catch it."

me too.  Hard to believe that the 07-08 team wasn't one of the top 5 def teams of all time, but who knows?  so hard to compare teams from different eras.
