2nd only to Toronto SG DeRozen.

His closest competition will be Bradley Beal... with Afflalo going to Denver and Dion Waiters becoming the 4th or 5th option on the Cavs.

Joe Johnson and JR Smith's days are behind them I believe, along with Wade most likely.

What do you guys think? Am I stretching here? I really think AB will be the 2nd best SG in the East next season.

He's already better then all of these players on defense and is a more efficient shooter then most of them.

My guess is that Bradley will finish the year with worse numbers than Beal,Stephenson, and Joe Johnson -- most notably in the 'games played' category.

Yeah, I'd say Beal or Stephenson for sure. The opinion on Waiters is skewed, but I still think he has more ability. And Wade is still a better player than Bradley.

I have Wade, JJ, Beal, Stephenson, Affalo ahead of Bradley for sure. Waiters might be slightly better as well. Sure I'm missing some others.

AB is probably my favorite Celtic right now, but there's no way he's above Joe Johnson, Stephenson, or Wade.  I believe Beal is going to have a terrific season as well, better than AB.

Who would you bet on playing more games/minutes this season, Wade or Bradley?

I'd like to say Bradley, but Miami can't rest Wade for a third of the season without James. Still, I'd bet on Bradley.

Afflalo plays for Denver now.  Who are you, Jackie Mac? ;-)

Yeah, I am not sure what they are thinking - I guess it's just about getting as many ticket sales as possible. Miami is essentially assembling a team similar to the one we dismantled after the 2013 season. I like that they kept Bosh, but acquiring as many assets as they could would have been a smart move.

As for AB - I suppose it's possible he makes the leap this year, but coming into the season he is probably 4th-5th (DeRozan, Beal, Wade, JJ/Stephenson)

If the Magic use Oladipo mostly at SG I'd consider him above Bradley, and I think Caldwell-Pope is a sleeper choice for a breakout season not saying I would have him about Bradley though.

I'd like to say he has a chance of passing J Johnson next year, but Hohnsin hit some big money shots for the Nets last year, and with Pierce gone they will more likely count on him more this year.

What about our own Smart passing Bradley this year as a SG. :P

I think Wade is still above Bradley. Lance Stephenson definitely is another guy I consider better. Bradley Beal/Dion Waiters maybe around the same level. I guess you can also say Derozan is better. I think Joe Johnson did fall off a bit, but even at this stage, I would still take Joe Johnson over Bradley.

I love Bradley, but I'm not sure I put him a top 10 SG in the East just yet.

He's already better then all of these players on defense and is a more efficient shooter then most of them.

You neglected to point out that he's an absolutely horrific set-up guy and he's undersized, which greatly limits his game.  A guy like Lance Stephenson can be effectively relied upon to facilitate offense for a good team; Bradley couldn't even do that for a bad Celtics team.

I'd place him firmly behind Johnson, DeRozan, Stephenson, Beal, and even Wade.  He's probably on equal footing to Jimmy Butler.
