To hornets: Rondo, Green
To celtics: Walker, MKG, Biyombo, 1st

Scenerio: This trade gives the hornets a chance to make some noise in the playoffs. For the celts green is a goner anyways. We are not playoff bound and better to trade rondo before he walks for nothing. Also gives him a chance to get far into the playoffs.

I can see walker and mkg flourish under BS

If we're moving those two, I'm trying to attach Wallace in whatever deal.

Can't say I'm enamored with the prospect of a Walker/Smart backcourt.  Defensively, the Celtics would be good but I think they'd have serious offensive woes.

It would be a painful Celtics team to watch in the offensive end.

agreed - much to painful to watch and not enough return.  C's are sending out the 2 best players in the deal by far.  not a fan of any of the players coming back to the C's.

- Point of moving Rondo is to play Smart.  Why would we want Walker who scores because he has the ball the most.
- MKG can defend but can't score.  no thanks.  need a SF that can score
- Biyombo -- the holy grail of everyone that thinks there's a diamond-in-the-rough center that can be just cherry picked out from another team's nose.  this kid's a backup center on a decent team if he's lucky.
- 1st rounder --> adding Rondo and Green to Big Al and company makes them a top playoff team in the East.  Pick is in the low 20's at best.

poor return for the C's.

I would want Zeller back in a deal with Charlotte.  I think he is going to be one of the rare big men who can defend on the perimeter, while also being a positive offensive player.

Charlotte would have to send out a lot more salary for this trade to work.

I also see no reason why MKG and Walker will necessarily flourish under Stevens.  We should wait for him to become at least a mediocre coach before we anoint him as a development savant.

Don't see Rondo as a need when they have Walker at such a low cost. MKG, Vonleh + filler for Green and clipper's first should be something to consider.

Walker, Stephenson, Green, Biyombo, Al could make some noise in the playoffs. All guys are under 30 so they can go for a good run. Vonleh is 2 or 3 years away from helping a playoff team. MKG is too limited a player to help that team too.

Smart, Young, Vonleh would be a great rebuild haul in one year.

Bc its time for them to make some noise and not get eliminated in the 1st round every year.

Jefferson
Vonleh
Green
Stephenson
Rondo

Pretty decent looking lineup and has the potential to beat better teams unlike last years bobcats team

I actually think Kemba is better than Green, 17.7 ppg 6.1 apg 4.2rpg on a playoff team (albeit 8th seed) is pretty solid.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

"not get eliminated in the 1st round every year"?  Before this past year, Charlotte last made the playoffs in 2010 -- the only other time they've ever even qualified for the postseason.  They haven't exactly been stuck in a treadmill of early playoff exits.

Well what then? Get eliminated 2 years in a row in the 1st round?? Rondo and green gives them a better chance to get past the 1st.

The season hasn't even started yet and you're already declaring that they're an early playoff exit.  The East is fairly wide open -- they can afford to see how things shake out.

Either way, you say that as though Charlotte fans haven't been used to witnessing historically terrible teams.  Making the playoffs two years in a row in itself is an achievement those fans have never been able to enjoy.  At the moment, I think the fans would be happy just seeing any kind of sustained success since they've literally never experienced that.

I think Danny would rather roll the dice on seeing this thing to the end & potentially losing them for nothing & take on the extra cap space than take on that poo-poo platter of parts that wouldn't necessarily fit with this current roster.  Especially if you're not trying to dump the Wallace roster out there with them.
