Alright I thought I should chime into all this Rondo trade talk.

Personally I love rondo, but I honestly don't see a way that if we keep rondo and don't acquire a center who is Top 5 in the league by net offseason, how rondo either stays and we become contenders or rondo would even resign.

I say at the trade deadline we do a 3 team trade

Celtics give up
Rondo, Clippers 1st this year, bogans, And fillers

Celtics receive
Stauskas, Rudy gay and A 1st from SAC

Kings give up
Stauskas, Rudy Gay, McClemore 2 First round picks, expiring a wnd fillers.

Kings receive
Rondo and Josh smith

Pistons receive
Clippers 1st round pick, A 1st from SAC, and expirings

Pistons give up
Josh Smith

We then have a starting lineup of

Smart
Green
Gay
Sully
Zeller

Avery off the bench. For the remainder of te year.

Experiment this. If Rudy looks good maybe we resign him, or we do a sign and trade in the draft or we just straight up release him.

I don't see how this hurts the celtics and also let green expire.

Or else we can somehow incorporate Gay staying in SAC and green going to DET , but we would need the 1sts and cap relief instead.

Many different scenerios, same three teams should come up with a deal with eachother.
I believe those two teams are our best trade partners.

Rondo isn't going anywhere.

I would like to pry Gay away from Sacramento however to team up with Rondo.

On paper, that is not at all a bad deal.  Everybody gets something of value.  In the real world, Detroit is going to want more immediate help than two firsts for Smith.

Where to start? Most unbelievable thing about this trade is that we actually give up a draft pick...

I do not think that any wants Ben McLemore either.  I do not get the Kings obsession, yes they want Rondo but their roster stinks and their assets are for the most part bad.  They need Gay to compete as I see it.

Well good thing nobody wants him because the OP has him being sent out in the trade and not being received by anyone.

Gay < Rondo.  Stauskas is a nice piece but we already have an overload of SGs.  why add yet another?  Also, why bring in Gay?  he's roughly the equivalent of Green but paid a lot more.  What's the point?  you don't build a team around Gay nor are other players looking to play with him so he's not a FA draw.

He accidentally locked himself in his suitcase getting ready to leave Sacramento.
