No word on whether on not he'll be able to take a yearly measure on whether or not he'll be able to bail?

For shame, Doc, you've gone soft.

I believe this extension is effectively him turning in his ability to constantly talk up leaving for a giant pile of money.

Though the C's tried a giant pile of money themselves and we saw how that worked out.

Phoney and overrated.

Great deal for one of the best coaches in the NBA.  I hope BS can develop into a comparable coach.  He's got a long way to go before he's on Doc's level though.

overpaid imho. His style of coaching is dependent on superstars. I don't really see the reason why he was paid too much.

I look forward to seeing him NOT win a title in L.A.

This is Ballmer throwing his money around to stabilize the core of his new franchise.  Not a surprise after dropping $2 billion.

...has any coach ever exceeded $10 million a season?  Phil, maybe.

Are you kidding me? Doc isnt even top 5 Coach in the NBA. This guy cant develop any NBA talent at all. Relied way to much on an aging Pierce Allen Garnett. Never used the bench as much as he could. Overpaid period.

I'm curious as to who your top 5 coaches in the NBA are (or, rather, your top 4, since I assume everyone has Pop in at least one of those spots).

He developed all the players that we traded for KG and Allen.  He developed Tracey McGrady and Ben Wallace.

Remember, Doc is also paid to make GM decisions.  He isn't just a coach.
