I think it's become clear that Steve Nash will conclude his career in a short while. Given his season MVP, as well as other important stats and contributions, where will he stand in the list of former all stars, who didn't get an NBA championship ring?

This list includes players like Dominique Wilkens, John Stockton, Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Peter Maravich, Elgin Baylor (if you discount those few games in '72 season), Karl Malone, Artis Gilmore, Patrick Ewing, Bernard King, Chris Webber, etc.

I believe he'd also be the only two time MVP winner to finish without a championship ring (or even an NBA finals appearance), but I haven't checked.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Basketball Reference has his HOF probablity just outside the Top 100.  Other names in the area are Rodman, DJ, Zo, & Tim Hardaway.

That sounds about right.  Exciting PG who was the floor leader of some exciting teams in the 90s & 2000s.   Just couldn't break through in the playoffs although I can't exactly say his teams were built for the postseason.   Who knows what could've happened if not for that one Spurs series in '07.  Probably his best chance at a ring and would probably have one if the Suns had prevailed.

Worth pointing out, though, that Rodman's already in the HoF.

He should just take his talents to The Forest City and join the Cleveland Cavaliers.

With all those ring-riding bandwagoners in that team.

Barkley was an MVP, and Karl Malone twice.

He will get in to the HOF and should get in first ballot . No NBA MVP has not made the HOF - Iverson may be the first, but I bet he gets in. Nash won two MVPs, was the best player at his position in his prime....

Iverson will get in.  He should.

Rose could very well be the first not to if this injury bug continues to haunt his career.

Steve Nash hall of fame for sure.  BUT worst defensive player to ever win MVP award…twice  ::)
love his offensive game and ball skills (passing!) but I still don't think he should have won MVP.
As far as where he stands :
elgin baylor if we are counting him is better
john stockton
charles barkley
karl malone
patrick ewing
are all better
nash should fall somewhere in this area
lets not forget george gervin….more will come to me
