3 team trade Idea

Boston gives up rondo
Boston gets deing and a Detroit first round 2015

Detroit gets rondo
Detroit gives up monroe and first round pick 2015

Minnesota gives up deing
Minnesota gets Monroe

why Detroit does it
Detroit does it because they get a big three in rondo smith and drummed. The trade also allows smith to play the 4

Minnesota does it because

they are already taking in rookies like wiggins and bennet if the love trade goes through,Now they get a proven player in monroe who can  replenish some of the stats lost by Love.

This gives them a young starting line up of
rubio
wiggins
bennet
monroe
pek

with monroe only 24 who knows where they could go.
Boston does it because
well we get a 1st round pick with detriot a potential lottery considering how poorly they did this year. We also get a strong young center in deing

well we get our starting center in gorgui deing
who at age 24 while playing 13 minutes
PPG   RPG   BLKPG   PER
4.8   5.0   0.8   16.58

if he played 26 minutes his stats would indicate that he would average a double double. if he played starter minutes who knows how good he could be.

here is an article about deing's potential  http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10792969/rookie-watch-all-rookie-teams?ex_cid=espnapi_public
Digest this: In terms of how much these rookies will likely impact the league, Dieng has proved to be the one guy who can lead this class over the next five years or so. Had Minnesota played him from day one, he'd be the Rookie of the Year.

We're talking about the complete package for a center in today's NBA -- rebounding, shot-blocking, paint protection (long arms, quick feet, and active and aggressive hands are the perfect storm), perimeter shooting, quick slashes to the rim, excellent finishing skills in the paint, and a deft feel for interior passing.

Dieng has shown he has all those tools -- which, by the way, also helped his college team win a title last spring. This large and agile man is a double-double machine who has sprinkled in monster games with consistently productive ones. It is fair to suggest that he has All-Star potential.

If deing does well which he should do we would get our starting center if not we would esily get a lottery pick and get our center there. If however deing does well we can pick up this very promising sf in the 2015 draft named Stanley Johnson- SF- Hard working kid who's built and improved his game the hard way, very strong overall game, weaknesses slowly disappearing.
with that Boston can have a strong young starting lineup of

smart
bradley
 johnson
Sully
Deing

we would have olynyk and young coming off the bench and  many picks to build on this foundation.
zach lavine-jeremy lin-tyus jones
jeremy lamb-tyshen prince-Andre miller
will barton- beljina-
Kevin love-kevin garnet-payne
Karl anthoney Towns-JJ hickson

What a pleasant first post.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Dieng and a 1st rounder? Sounds like we are the clear losers in this trade

I'd rather just have Monroe than a first and Dieng. If we are just getting Dieng I would want at least two additional firsts.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Doesn't seem like nearly enough.....  The bones of it are intriguing though, if we could get back Lavine and KCP with Deing with maybe using a TPE or something.

I'd much rather have like the above said Monroe and Dieng or 2 first rounders...I am not completely sold on Lavine. KCP is a good role player imo, but not enough with a package of Dieng or whatever.

No thanks. I don't understand why everyone is so hung up on this Dieng guy.

Would much rather keep Rondo, land Monroe or preferably have both.

I suspect that Detroit would like a deal that gets them Rondo but I think it would have to involve moving Brandon Jennings somewhere.

I don't know enough about Deing.  He would have to be really good to make this deal worth it for Boston.  I think we can get more for Rondo.

I'm not sold on Dieng quite yet, especially if he's the only good piece we get back for our star. He has promise, but I need to see how he does this year to see if he can continue what he did last year when he got PT.

suckered in to reading another bad trade proposal under the falsehood of 'really helps everyone'.

C's get royally screwed.  Minny and Detroit would giggle in delight if the C's were dumb enough to do this one

at least you're consistant Hawkeye in wanting to ship out Rondo for peanuts

Yeah, but a lot of bang for his buck - three TPs for that one post...and I can't say I disagree.

Funny, unpleasant, and true.  All the things I love to see in a CB post.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I like the general idea but the Cs would need more coming in or wallace has to be heading out.

In an unrelated idea I could see a jenning for rubio swap.
