To Boston: Enes Kanter, Alec Burks
To Utah: Jeff Green

Why Utah: They just resigned Hayward so they might want to take the best out of him, they view Favors as a C so Green could play stretch 4.

For us: Both Kanter & Burks are young & versatile, could be a valuable rebuilding pieces. Kanter can be a 20-10 player & Burks is not so far.
If we move Rondo, Thornton this year or next, we'll have:

PG: Smart, Pressey
SG: AB, Burks
SF: Turner, Young
PF: Sully, KO
C: Kanter, T-Zel

Thoughts?

Kanter and Burks are both mid to high level prospects at this point where Jeff Green is what he is. I imagine the Celtics would have to give up picks in this trade as well. Probably still worth it though. Kanter is legit.

I would be interested in a deal with Utah, but only for Favors (and maybe Gobert). I don't have any hopes that they are willing to give him up, but he is a guy I would love to have moving forward.

As for the original proposal, I don't think Green is enough for both Kanter and Burks (though Burks is becoming quite redundant in their guard rotation).  I know that Kanter was previously rated highly, but he isn't quite living up to being the third selection in the draft. They may be willing to move him in the right deal (in this case, for a skilled, athletic wing), but it's possible they really want to see what he can do this year.

Maybe, maybe not... Who know? They might bite and deal with us.

Favors is their most talented big, doubtful they'll trade him. Same for Gobert, they haven't seen the last of him to say if they should keep or trade him. But both could be good acquisitions for us though.

Picks don't really matter for us. Maybe we had some of our clips pick to make the deal done? ;)

I'd love this deal so much, but I don't think Utah would jump for it. I'd try adding in a few first rounders, and maybe take on a bad contract, but even then, Kanter and Burks would be hard for Utah to give up. Enes Kanter is a guy I'm really high on. Still only 22, excellent in the post, got a nice mid range shot, and while his defense isn't that good, he's shown flashes of defensive brilliance against good centers, and I think the potential to become at least a league average defender is there.

Doesn't make much sense for Utah.  They're in year 2 of their rebuild and Green likely wouldn't be part of their future any more so than he is the Celtics, who are also in year 2 of their rebuild.  Factor in that he's also got a player option for next season and they'd be risking a one-year rental for a guy they really don't need at this stage.

I think they'll ultimately move Kanter for the reason you noted: Favors is probably going to end up playing center full-time.  But I don't see them moving him (and Burks, for that matter) for potentially just a year of a soon-to-be 28 year old Jeff Green.

Green makes more sense for a contending team.

Maybe but if they're in win mode (they just gave Hayward a $15m/yr deal) they will.
