Celts get McGee, Faried and Gallinari
Denver gets Green, Bass, Olynyk and Bogans.

I feel like Faried and McGee would be great, up-tempo players for Rondo to work with.

They shouldn't. Faried has more value than anyone we have except Rondo. He was playing for a spot with Team USA this month. Any Celtics there? Gallanari and Green are roughly the same player, maybe Green is more athletic and Gallanari is a better shooter. Equally bad contracts. Bass/Bogans for McGee would just be a salary dump I think.

If the Nuggets would make this trade we should do it in a second. Gal is younger, taller and a better shooter. Faried is an upgrade on KO and McGee is a legit center with no brain. Would be a coup for the C's

You'd more likely see this trade which is just a stripped down version of yours:

Because it moves so much salary away from the Nuggets in 2015 and isn't a slam dunk for the C's due to McGee's lack of a brain. That kind of salary dump is probably more along the lines of the trade we'll see this season, though closer to the deadline I'd imagine. For the record I'd reject that trade I posted above. Rather have cap space in 2015 than McGee's shenanigans.

I think that Denver would never do gpap's trade and even nostars trade would probably have to be sweetened with a draft choice(s). I am not totally opposed to McGee for Bass, Bogans, and our Clippers pick. Given our lack of success in the free agent market thru the entire history of this franchise we may have to resort to taking chances on a high risk/high reward player in addition to the draft (McGee or Sanders, for example).

The only way they do that trade is if they smoked all the reefer in CO.

faried is overrated, mostly a hustle player, undersized and not much skilled

I figured Denver would be hesitant on including Faried.

I would then keep Olynyk and attempt to pull off Green/Bass for McGee/Gallinari.

I know McGee is known as a bonehead but imagine the lob city connection that could emerge between him and Rondo.

With Gallinari, if he returns to being healthy, he's a 3 point machine.

This could even be a playoff team.

I would think this is one Green/Bass trade that could be possible.

Faired is not a USA team caliber player - they are including specifically for his hustle and defense. If they needed guard help, they could have just as easily included Bradley (I would say those two are about equal).

Your newest trade works for me, though. I want to hold on to Olynyk and taking a flyer on McGee would be interesting. Gallinari for Green is just about a wash, but Den could use the athleticism.

This would be a fun team and possibly a 5-7 seed in the East

PG:Rondo/Smart
SG-Bradley/Young/Thornton(if he ends up being on the opening night roster)
SF-Turner(if he signs)/Gallinari/Wallace
PF-Sully/Olynyk
C-McGee/Zeller

Gallinari would definitely start over Turner in this scenario.
