Sounds like you are saying that this is to be a sign and trade, with either Green or Bass going to Indiana for Turner.

Did they renounce him? There seems to be no info on it on it. I thought they just opted not to extend the qualifying offer and allowed him to be an unrestricted FA - meaning they'd still retain his bird rights and could go over cap to sign him but wouldn't have the right to first refusal?

Is there anyway that this could be a prelude to a bigger deal involving guys like Rondo and/or Hibbert? The whole Turner contract thing seems draped in mystery.

Possible that the pacers want to bring back turner after loosing George but unlikely.
More likely that turner is being strung along in an effort to S&T for Monroe or smith.
Or less likely green and bass for hibbart... But I doubt it.
