Too bad. Doesn't seem like we will get enough.

Seems like it's basically going to be a DKC-lite, with about a 90% of the GM's already DKC guys.

CB draft is Talisman to the DKC's AD&D 2nd edition more like it.

And I guess the real goal is to upgrade to 3.5?

Surprised some of the regulars aren't in this.

Dons, GC, IP, Lucky, etc

burned out. My vote was to take a year off this year, come back stronger next season.

Me too.  Plus it is during the first couple weeks of school, would never have the time for it.  If someone wants someone to bounce ideas off, I will be around.

Never thought -- after the euphoria of the first 2 CBD's -- that i'd skip one, but I'm burnt out too.

I said last year i was gonna sit out then jumped in, and just didn't enjoy it as much. it'd didint' feel AWESOME!!! but more like another commitment.

I'm hoping 1 year away will rekindle the fiya... sorry... an look out next summer!  8)

I do hope that the DKC doesn't mean the end of the CB Draft, Original Recipie though... that would make me really sad.

Bump, hoping this can happen.

Me too. I've been very in to this every year. It's sad that the rest got brunt out, but winning does that to you.  ;)

I on the other hand, hasn't had any success yet 3 years counting, which is why I'm still hungry for it.

For anyone who's reading this. Just give it a shot. It is time consuming, but it's very engaging and fun, and a bit educational. Give it a shot.

I fear this might be the case. If ppl are burned out this year at this time why wouldn't they be in subsequent years? What would change?

It's too bad bc the drafting part is so much fun and that part of DKC is done. Maybe that will actually save this league... then again the draft is the most exhausting part so maybe not.

I'm surprised to see some non DKC GMs but normal CB draft GMs like Rondo2287, WeMadeIt17, Bahku, and the walker wiggle not participating.

For me, I think the regular CB Draft has needed a break since 2012. Participation had been waning up to that point, and it needs a reboot. What it really needs is to be workshopped and improved with a fresh look. Id love to try the auction thing others have mentioned. But not right now. In the last 3 weeks I've been a pall bearer in a funeral, celebrated my sons 1st birthday and my wife and my 2nd anniversary. Just not a good time.

I am thinking that it's probably not going to happen. Just doesn't seem to be enough interested people this year. Maybe that is for the best
