Did we get zeller for a dollar??  Cleveland desperately needed the trade exception worth 10 mill.  Thornton was not the key exchange , it was for zeller.

Listen you can excuse det or hous team status but both have progressed little to downgraded from last season. Hous lost lin, asik, parsons and got ariza. Jennings like said is inefficient when he is the 1 or 2 guy. But as the 3rd guy could be big. Can go off (a little streaky). Good shooter when open , which he will be more often with dhoward and harden on the floor

Detroit's better than they were last year by virtue of a largely identical roster and the addition of Stan Van Gundy.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

assuming of course they bring Monroe back.  I actually think they will be a good deal better with the extra year of playing together, the growth of Drummond, Caldwell-Pope, Singler, etc. and of course Van Gundy.

I think Jennings would be fine in Houston, but the trade was a terrible trade for them.  I also think you are significantly discounting just how much better Jones will be this year.  Jones is going to be a very strong 3rd player.  Ariza is a much better shooter and defender than Parsons, so he will add something to the starting 5 that didn't exist last year.  Losing Lin and Asik from their bench is obviously a blow (though Gee is a better backup wing then they had last year and Motiejunas will continue to develop), but I expect the starting 5 to be better on the whole and you win and lose mostly by your starting 5.  Of course none of that matters if James Harden decides he doesn't want to show up in the playoffs.  He is and always will be the key to that teams success because Howard is a pretty consistent 20/12 type player.  Harden is the wild card.  If he plays well, Houston wins, if he doesn't, they don't.
