anywhere but Boston, but I guess if he is cheap, I don't mind having him on our team

If we're lucky, he'll be the salary filler in a deal next offseason in a deal to bring in a major talent.  he'll be an expiring deal, a year removed from injury and quite possibly playing with purpose knowing he's probably playing for his last contract after the year is up.

until then, he's calling Boston home.

exactly he's not going anywhere this year unless we take back a worse contract which doesn't make sense...

I know he is not cheap, I meant if we use the stretch provision, it's not entirely too bad.

Somehow, I don't think the Bulls would be very keen on pairing their expensive guard with a history of knee injuries with an expensive guard with a history of knee injuries.

his home is on the pine in boston unless he can heal up fast and turn back the clock. pulling for him to do well this season and be much more than dead weight.

What about:

Pekovic (4 years) and Gerald Wallace (2 years) to NY Knicks

Thornton (expiring) and Joel Anthony (expiring) to Minnesota

Stoudemire (expiring) to Boston

We could facilitate, and get out from under Gerald Wallace's contract. We'd move three players, and clear roster spots.

What's Yours?

I am unclear why you think Chicago would agree to this trade. Can you elaborate?

i like that too, then we can trade amaire with another filler in mid-season

Danny: Gerald, do you still enjoy playing basketball?
Wallace: Yeah, pretty much.
Danny: Unless there is an injury, I can't see how you are going to get on the court this season.
Wallace: Hey man, that a load of bull!  I'm gonna throw an epic hissy fit and this is going to change!
Danny: Maybe you and Keith can talk about how you used to spend your days at our facility.
Wallace: The heck you say!
Danny: Let's talk about a buyout

Jimmy Butler is one of the league's better wing defenders, and Taj Gibson was second in the voting for sixth man of the year last year. Chicago was the best defensive team in the league last year. Do they really want to sacrifice that much depth for an undersized shooting guard who makes $4M more than both Butler and Gibson combined?
