So  we all know that Love isnt going to Boston so what is our next move? I say just getting this team even not so many bigs at the 4 and moving some guards. IDK what for though.

1. Waive Chris Johnson and Babb;
2. Trade Bass and Bogans for a serviceable (read: bench warmer) player;
3. Play the kids with Rondo, not aiming for anything but if we reach the playoffs its a bonus;
4. Compete;
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
1) collect assets
2) develop assets
3) get cap room cleared and ready for 2015
4) collect assets
5) wait for the next opportunity to trade those assets for a top 20 NBA player or a draft pick to     draft who we think might be a top 20 player one day.
6) use cap room to sign major free agent and re-sign Rondo as well.
7) watch Smart develop into top 25 NBA player  8)

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Rondo and Wallace for Jennings, Monroe and a 1st would be my most positive guess. Likely they just cut some guys.

Wait for another team to have an injury that leads them to be willing to make a foolish trade.

We have to both trim the roster to get to 15 players, and also get under the luxury tax.  So some sort of combination of 1 and 2 happening.

This makes the most sense.    :)

And save our pennies up .....then crack the piggy bank when Marc Gasol becomes available.

1. Be the third team to get involved in the love trade
2. Trade bass, wallace, bogans
3. Invite babb, johnson to camp but prepare to cut them after

1. Establish Rondo as the leader of the offense and restructure that God awful motion offense to best utilize the players on the floor. That system is atrocious.

2. Move the non-guaranteed contracts for a different asset. That's about $7 million in salary. Go grab a player for those contracts and make it so that player isn't another SG.

3. Get a balanced, set rotation of about 11 players and stick to it making players like Olynyk, Sullinger, Zeller, Smart and Young earn their minutes rather than just handing them to them. If they are playing well move them down in the rotation but not out. Stress defense as the first factor in judging the performance of any player and evaluating their spot in the rotation. Stress effort and smart defense always.

4. Try hard to win every game and live with whatever record happens.

I think it should be quite simple.

Whenever you find an opportunity to improve for both the short and long-term, do it.

If there's a deal out there involving Rondo, Jeff Green, etc that makes sense (preferably for players, not more draft picks) then do it.

If there's a deal out there to pair up an established player with Rondo, do that as well.

But, make a decision! Are you trying to be good for next season or are you looking to go the Sixers route and take a long-term approach? No more 25 win seasons and number 6 picks in the draft.

Either you're in it to win it now, or you're taking the long way home.

Don't try to have a little bit of both.

What about Rondo to Milwaukee for Knight and Sanders?

The Bucks get a star to pair up with Parker and the Greek while the Celts get two pretty good pieces themselves.

I'd think Kidd would love to have Rondo.

I will agree with others when I say I don't think I want any part of Brandon Jennings.
