that coincides more or less with my guesses on the matter, too.

I say this everytime he's brought up, but the Wilt Chamberlain Archive on youtube is pretty fantastic. Glad its a thing.

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I think Wilt would go for 28-32ppg and 16-19rpg in today's game along with leading the league in blocks (winning DPOY in process) and leading the league in FG%. MVP.
Not picking our your comment as I agree he would be near top of categories but you think he would ONLY average 16-19 rebounds in todays game when no one boxes out?  I'd give him 25 rebounds a game

25 boards might be a bit high but I think 20 wouldn't be unrealistic.  I do think his scoring average would be well over 35 as well.  a team built like Orlando was around Dwight years ago would allow Wilt to just have his way in the paint.  Dwight has no offensive moves and he still scored a bunch in that system.  imagine what a center with real offensive talent could do.

as for why Wilt doesn't get the accolades, I think a significant part of it is due to the disparity in titles between him and Russell.

In today's game, Wilt would score like Shaq, rebound like Rodman, and defend like Dikembe.  He would still be the most dominant player in NBA history.

I think Wilt was a force of nature but dominant means winning in my book.
