What is Kelly Olynyk ceiling?
Imagine if Luis Scola could hit a spot up three consistently.
He is a better passer and he is 7 feet tall, which is a huge deal. That makes his ceiling significantly higher.
I don't know if the exact height measurement makes such a huge difference, since KOs arms are pretty short. I think you're underselling Scola's passing, too. Kelly has to gain a lot of strength before he can match Scola's post game as well.
But I agree, Kelly can be more versatile if he reaches his potential, and the three point shot is a major weapon to have. Makes it far easier to find minutes for Kelly despite his defensive shortcomings. And simply being a couple inches taller might give KO a psychological advantage, if nothing else.
