And do the US vs World

World could at least have a really good big man rotation

Dirk
Pau Gasol
Marc Gasol
Jonas V
Nene
Pek
Serge Ibaka
Al Horford

But they're getting better on wings with
Anthony Bennet
Wiggins
N Mirotic
Loul Deng
Thabo S
Giannis
Ginobli

and at pg they have at least
Tony Parker
Ricky Rubio
Jose Calderon
G Vasquez

and they have various young up and comers such as Jusuf N, Donatas M, KO, Clint Capella, Bruno C, Nik Stauskas, etc

One thing I'm not as sure of is Joakim Noah. He holds 3 different citizenships.

They're best shot is to go after the bigs. They're screwed on the wings dealing with Chris Paul, Lebron, D Wade, Paul George, etc...but on the inside I don't think Anthony Davis, Alridge, Hibbert and Chris Bosh can handle this.

makes more sense for hockey since a significant percentage of the players are from outside the US and the game of hockey requires a high turnover of players in the game as it progresses.

Top NBA players will be on the court for 75% of the game.

Also, Lebron plays for the US.  add any other 4 US all-stars to Lebron and the US dominates if they actually decide to play with any effort

Just for the record, the NHL stopped doing this years ago.  Now they use the pick up game style where two captains pick the teams.  Which the NFL has recently stolen from them as they have a tendency to do.
