For those that didnt get to see the games...
only thing i took note of were his defensive highlights.. that steal at 1:40 would make the NFL proud
Quote
Even at the end of the game, we lined up in different formation that he hadn't seen and he called out our play before I got the ball. I heard him calling it out. -John Wall on Brad Stevens

Smart would have made a great strong safety in the NFL.

Thanks for the clip.

His catch and release seemed smooth and the jumper itself didn't look as bad as I've heard/read about. Love the hustle too. It's AB in a bigger, taller body with a better offensive game. And more to prove.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

AB's relentlessness, though, is something that I don't think even Smart has.

Which is awesome because we could potentially have AB fresh with Smart sponging the minutes.

I felt the most impressive thing to see from Smart during the summer league was his awareness, pace and control. Those things don't always show up in highlights but they are vital to NBA pros that are successful.

I wish there more defensive plays (not limited to steals and blocks) lol but thats just me.

Also, just to temper the highlights of him stroking the 3: Smart isn't a good shooter (yet?) but if he takes 8 3-point attempts per game, he's bound to make one or two, which this clip shows.

As usual, the only thing that could possibly ruin such a mix is the "music" in the background.  That aside, thanks for finding this.  TP.  I missed the summer league games :(  The steal he had at the beginning of the video when someone tried to feed the post with a bounce pass - I haven't seen someone pick off one of those in years.  The kid has great hands, and I also loved how he picked off a bunch of cross-court passes.  It always drives me nuts that players today don't pick those off when they're right there.  It should be fun seeing him play against the Spurs, who throw more of those than anyone, assuming that he gets the necessary minutes, of course.
