Another conspiracy theory that I don’t think is a conspiracy theory, this is clearly why the Lakers are waiting on not hiring a coach. They must feel like they have a chance with Doc Rivers if this keeps dragging on.

Uh Wow.

I could see Doc,CP3 and Griffin all saying they wont play. Doc goes to LA. Works a trade with the Clips and some how brings Griffin and CP3 over for Nash,Lin,Randle, because some how the Lakers pull off crap trades like that.

Then Lakers would be good, which would really suck, BUT Clips would be really bad and that pick is in the lotto! :P

I know, a fare fetched dream, but with most likely loosing out on Love I think we need some thing new to dream about.

you mean Doc staying in LA, same arena :D

but then again I also have the same thought, we sent Doc over to screw the Clips over, then this fiasco happens, then he trades all the good players to the Celtics

then I also thought, there is a good chance Silver will block it

He can't possibly save that train wreck. They're better off saving the money
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Doc left Boston because he didn't want to rebuild, don't see him going to the Lakers. If anything, he'll go back to broadcasting and wait for a job with a contender to open up. Scott Brooks has to be on a short leash in OKC, right?

The lakers are apparently waiting to see if doc would be available. Just bc doc becomes available doesn't mean he will sign with the lakers. I can't see him doing that.

Doc had a taste for power now. He's the GM now. Even if he quits the clips he won't take a coaching job again where he's not the GM too. Lakers won't be offering him Mitch's job. I can still see them waiting this out, seeing if rivers walks, and if he does leave clipperland, then trying to sell rivers on being just the coach.

Doc won't buy that sales pitch tho. IMO.

Isn't this the same Doc who said the Lakers were a better franchise than the Celtics? They can have Doc, who cares.

Hiring Doc would be a great move for the Lakers.  I wish we had a coach of his caliber.

At the risk of arguing over insignificant things, That's not what he said.

Oh God.  You just gave me a heart-attack as well as chronic re-occurring nightmares.  Knowing them they'd end up with Jordan too.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

This would be a great move by the Lakers and a nice middle finger from Doc to the Sterling and the Clippers. Hey I'm gonna stay in the same building, same city, but coach a different team, so, middle finger you.

I think Doc and Kobe would fit nicely together.

Both are only as good as the people around them at this point.

I would only be ok with a Laker/Clippers super team if the Clips pick is top 3.  We're realistically not competing for awhile anyway and I still think the Spurs (and honestly, probably Dallas too) can take them next year.

The only way I want the Lakers to be good is if BOS can be good as well.

It would bother me to no end if the Lakers somehow rebound before us....would be like poking me with a purple and gold needle. ;D
