Just a quick observation,

Aside from over paying Parsons I really like what Dallas has done this off season.

They added Chandler, Parsons, Jefferson, Nelson, Aminu and greg smith. That gives them the following roster.

PG Nelson, harris, Felton
SG Ellis
SF Parson, Jefferson, Crowder
PF Dirk, Aminu, Wright
C Chandler, Smith

I like the roster they obviously are trying to losly replicate there past championship team. They have 3 (maybe 4 if Felton gets in shape) guards who can create on the perimeter. I think they acually will be better off with Lewis failing his physical and being replaced with Aminu, he gives them a Marion type Sf to play along side Dirk or Parsons. They get they anchor back in Chandler.

Really like the Dallas squad as well. A good offseason for Cuban. Hopefully the Mavs can be more competitive this season as Dirk rides off towards his end.

Crawfish is still available.. can be cheap and be used as their SG...

I guess you're hoping for a Mavs championship then?

They were arguably the second most competitive team last year as they were the only team who even had a prayer of winning a series against the Spurs.  They took the NBA champions further than anyone else (7 games) including LeBron's defending champs.  And one of the two games they won on the Spurs' court was a blowout.

Then they went out this summer and greatly improved that roster (which includes removing two of the biggest defensive liabilities in the league).  Can't tell you how badly I want them to spank LeBron in the finals again.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Chandler's washed up, but Dallas always does a good job putting together a competitive team.

Yes but they will likely run a lot of small backcourt sets and have good depth at SF with Parson, Aminu, Jefferson, and Crowder.

Really intriguing combo of vets and young legs. I like that squad a lot.

Not sure of their cap situation moving forward, but if they have $ available next year I think they're the biggest threat for Rondo.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

So were the Jasons's when they won a ring. Kid and Terry were as far away from there primes as Chandler. Where is Shawn MArion?? he signed else where?

Chandler's washed up
I have seen no evidence of this whatsoever.

I understand he missed the playoffs for the first time in 6 years, but I think it's hardly fair to make any conclusions from that imploding Knicks team.  It's much more likely Chandler looks amazing next to Dirk instead of the complete mess that is Bargs, Amare, and Kenyon Martin.  Not to mention he's one of the best pick and roll Centers in the league and he's going from Raymond Felton to Monta Ellis.

Rondo would be a perfect fit in Dallas's system.
