smart, turner, gerald, bass, olynyk.

better development for smart, surrounds him with vets that won't try to take over a game themselves

Obviously this depends on who starts, but if Green is moved and Turner starts, I'd like at least an 8 man rotation consisting of Smart, Young, and whoever is left (probably Olynyk, assuming that Bass is moved).  Even if Bass were to remain in Boston, I'd think, at the minimum, our 2nd unit would have to be Smart, Young, Bass, and KO.  Sounds good to me.

Paul
George
Durant
Aldridge
Howard

...

Assuming that Rondo, Harden, James, Love and Davis are in the starting unit.

Ok but in all seriousness I think the 2nd string for each position should be:

Smart
Thonton
Turner
Bass
Olynyk

Assuming Rondo, Bradley Green, Sully and Zeller are in the starting group.

So where does Zeller and Fav fit into this? One of them will be in the first 2 units. And what about Young, maybe not to start the season, but he will get in it too if we are awful like last year

I also think James Young be better off playing a year in Maine
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Smart - Thornton - Turner - Sullinger - Faverani is an exciting second unit.

It could give a starting unit of Rondo - Bradley - Green - Olynyk - Zeller fits in practice.

Sully & Turner in the same unit bc I think their friendship/old man game connection could produce synergy. Smart gives a hard nose toughness and D to that unit. Thornton spreads the floor for Turner. Fav is a wild card here. Bass could be in this spot if he isn't traded. I like Kelly on the starting unit for the twin 7 footer action with great shooting and passing across the board.

KO/Sully/Zeller trio should just share the min for updront most of the game.(unless we get another decent big)
Hopefully bass is traded soon

If Young is ready then adding Turner was pointless unless he is a piece in the trade for a big man. Faverani, Pressey, Wallace are added depth/specialty guys that will get spot minutes for a specific need at the moment. Fav-size to defend big men when ours our in foul trouble, Pressey-control the back-ups in the case that smart is showing his inexperience or is in foul trouble, Wallace-brings defense and leadership if neccessary to a young 2nd team. I put my second unit in my starting 5 post but here it is again.

Instant offense/pressure:
Smart
Thornton
Turner
Olynyk
Sullinger

I think that playing Turner and Sullinger together could benefit both of these guys greatly. The familiarity with each other can't hurt anyways.

I think they end up starting Bass, at least until he's moved at the deadline. To start the season  I expect the starters to be (as the roster stands now)

Olynyk
Bass
Green
Bradley
Rondo

Second unit of:
Smart
Turner
Wallace
Sullinger
Zeller

I think the guard rotation will be the most fun thing to watch among the bench players. A second unit where Smart gets time with Bradley would be a whole lot of fun defensively and add a jolt of energy to every game.

If they decide to start, Zeller instead of KO then a second unit with Olynyk and Sullinger might be able to survive if Bradley/Smart were hounding opposing back courts. The interior passing and shooting between Ko and Sully might make up for the lack of floor spacing, shot creation with Bradley and Smart.

DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Assuming the starting five is Rondo, Bradley, Green, Bass, Zeller:

Second unit Smart, Turner, Wallace, Sully, Olynyk.

With Thorton and Fav as 11 and 12. Young to Maine unfortunately.

There are definitely more moves to come this offseason, too many assets and too many young role players needing time.
