23.DMC
24. Other Gasol
25. Iggy

Wall, Noah (how?),  Hibbert, Kobe, Horford, Rondo, Cousins, Wall, Bosh, Lilliard, Davis (definitely), and Leonard all have a chance to possibly pass Love next year.

Who, please come and tell us all the correct answer.
Lopez, Rose, and Wade ahead of Love is a Joke.  And Harden is at #8 and he is a much worse defender than Love.
That's the only argument you have, and that's conditional on him not bouncing back, especially with LeBron gone (unless the other two become overly toast from their injuries).

Don't forget, it's not like Love has been injury-free.

Player ranking is still silly.

That said, Love really is a Rorschach test. There literally hasn't been a player that's as good as he is, on paper, that's failed to record even one playoff appearance. I think our discussion would be a lot more substantial had he not broken his hand doing pushups in '12.

Disagree with the majority of your ranking, but rankings are stupid, because its all based on preference.
I disagree.

2. Durant

I'm not being preferential, I can prove the above.  :)

You definitely missed Joakim Noah, a dark horse candidate for league MVP last season who single handedly carried that Bulls team to a winning season.

I feel like so much of this list is based on our name-recognition of players in the downhill of their careers. Duncan, Parker, and Nowitzki are clearly not the top 10 players they've been for 90% of their careers. Kobe and Rose are so injury prone, and that's definitely something to consider in naming someone a top 10 player

Kevin Love is not a good defender, and over 6 years hasn't been good enough to lead his team into the playoffs. I also haven't seen him use his offensive gifts to carry a team in the clutch minutes of the forth quarter.

I can't call him top 10. He, like Carmelo Anthony, is more like 11-15 at best.

If i want to win a title this year and could grab any player I wanted, i would take Duncan, Griffin, Noah, Aldridge, Marc Gasol, Bosh, Howard, Dirk over him. That's 8 players among bigs already.

I would also take Chris Paul, James, Durant, Westbrook, perhaps Tony Parker and Paul George over him.

Thats 14 players. Love and Melo will have to have a break dance fight to determine who is number 15.

It is True that Duncan and Dirk are not what they once were. But the best big men in general are not what they once were either.

Blake Griffin, Aldridge, Howard, Noah and Marc Gasol are perhaps the best 5 big men today. They don't come anywhere close to prime Garnett, prime Duncan, Shaq, Kemp, Webber, Malone, Barkley, Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing, Mourning, etc. Where have the great big men gone?

Parker is still awesome today by the way. Pop just keeps his minutes down.

I'm not hear to rank him from 1-10, what I think would be more constructive if to discuss what type of team you would need to put around him to have him as he cornerstone and still be a good playoff team? I mean not all stars play both ends of the court.

Are the Wolves bad seasons the product of bad coaching, bad play or a poorly constructed team? If the Wolves had a better defensive big man to pair with Love, add a 3 & D guy and a PG who can finish around the rim/shoot when left open and I think you are going a long way to making the team more successful. Love is a quality player, he draws double teams, spreads the floor and is kind of a nightmare for teams to match up with, especially this season when he was passing the ball fairly well. The struggles of the Wolves are a team problem, not caused by the fact their "star" doesn't play both ends of the court.

Yeah, Griffin wouldn't be in my top 10, but Noah certainly would. I'd give him the max and would target him much harder than Love if I where in charge.

Noah is the opposite of Love, but they're both one dimensional.  Love's offense is probably as good as Noah's defense, and Noah's scoring is as bad as Love's defense.

They're both very good players, although neither one is going to win anything unless surrounded by good talent.

I think this part of your list could use some work.  There's no way that Eric Gordon belongs in the top-30 NBA players.  He plays no defense, his offense is mediocre, and he's coming off yet another knee surgery.  Deron, Manu and Randolph probably don't belong as high as they're rated anymore, either.

Cousins and Davis are a lot better than the list gives them credit for.  Cousins was top-5 in production last year, and his defense has become, at the very least, average.  Davis is the game's next superstar, and he's already putting up legit all-star production.
