the fact that Clevelands ineptitude as a franchise has been rewarded so much makes me sick

1st lebron leaves becahse they dont know how to put a team around him.

then they proceed to get 3 #1 picks in the last 4 years...then Lebron returns.

They got wiggins in a year where they were trying to make the playoffs...if they didnt, even with Lebron they have NO chance at Love

you hate to think the NBA is rigged. but lebron leaves the cavs and they are rewared with 3 #1 picks? that is almost unheard of
+1….when you say almost unheard of you have any team with something remotely close?

I knew of this team once that was completely mismanaged for over a decade, but managed to go from a perpetual lottery dweller to a champion all during one offseason.

Utah's trading John Lucas, Malcolm Thomas and Erik Murphy to Cleveland for Carrick Felix, future 2nd and $1M, sources tell Yahoo.

Looks like Cleveland found it's non-guarantees.

Utah got a whole lotta nothing.

A future 2nd rounder and 1 million dollars? I'm glad Ainge held on to our non-guaranteed deals then, that's basically nothing.

The Cs are going to cut the no guarantees at some point, though , guaranteed :)
They are only worth holding onto to get something in return. Which is what Utah just got.

A 2nd round pick and a shooting guard that doesn't really have much of a ceiling. Whooo...

Well, we already fleeced them of Zeller, DA might have seen the second package and ran away.

That only adds up to 3 million or so.  I can't believe that's the difference in the trade happening or not.

There's still plenty of time for Ainge to get involved if the Cavs do sign Wiggins.

If they were going to trade Waiters and Bennett and two picks for Love, 9 mil for 15 mil wouldn't work.  12 mil for 15 will.  So if Minnesota would accept this package, then the deal can happen.

Now, if Minnesota is willing to give one of those picks (from Memphis or Miami) to a team willing to take on Barea and Martin- that's how Boston (or Utah, Phoenix, Philly, whoever) could get involved as a 3rd team.

Is giving up non guaranteed deals (Bogans and co.) plus Fav, worth taking on Martin and Barea just for another pick?   At some point we gotta say no thank you.

The Miami pick would be worth it. The Bosh-lead Toronto teams were perennial lottery teams. I don't see Bosh plus a broken down Wade held together by duct tape with no motivation being much better.
