I remember hearing that Boston had a trade in place for him while we were coming up to the draft. With David Faulk saying that Boston was the right "situation" for Turner I can not help but think that he was made certain assurances as to playing time and "fit" Wallace is not going anywhere so it must be Green. Where do any of you think it might be? Memphis seems like a really good fit IMO.

Memphis is a nice fit, good call. I don't know what they would send back, though.

Memphis, Detroit, Minnesota and Houston seem like good fits for Green. I'm hoping the Celtics make a trade for Monroe or Smith (Detroit) or work out a three team trade involving Minny too somehow to get Love to Boston  8)

That would likely involve Green being traded so...

Kosta Koufos would be awesome.

I don't think it's a certainty but I do think it will give us more-productive depth behind Green off the bench if Green isn't traded and if he is, Turner would be a better alternative to start than Wallace.

I don't think there's any way to do a trade that doesn't involve Memphis sending Tayshaun Prince out.  Memphis has already traded its 2015 pick to Cleveland, with protection that ties up tradeable future picks for a while.

So what you're telling me is that protection is a necessity in some ways but a real drag in others?

Sounds about right.

Somebody in the Cap-ology department should check but I think that Boston could trade Green to Houston for their Jeremy Lin trade exception. Am I wrong? Houston is great fit for Green. He plays very solid D and does not need shots.

You can be sure Danny is offering Green (turner), Bradley (thorton) and Olynyk (zeller) + picks for Love. Beyond that have to think there is significant value in Green and/or Bradley and Olynyk or Sullinger (take your pick). Don't forget we also have Moser waiting in the wings if a trade were to go down.

Could also throw in Bogan's expiring!

No.
The TPE from Lin is ~$8.3M
Green's salary is ~$9.2M

I don't think he's getting traded. If he is I want Monroe in return.

Memphis would be foolish not to pursue Jeff Green in exchange for Prince or a player we'd actually use. Memphis needs as much scoring as possible and a change of scenery might do him some good, like Lee.

I'm one of the biggest Jeff Green fans around but he doesn't feel like a part of our future any longer.

I can't see a scenario where he doesn't get traded.

Turner didn't sign here to be a backup at 15 mins per game. The Celtics already have a logjam at SG with Smart, Bradley and Thornton all needing minutes. James Young will need some playing time at SG/SF too. So I don't see Turner playing any SG. He's a SF and between him and Young, the position is filled.

Also, don't Green and Turner have the same agent (Faulk)? If so, I can't see Faulk steering Turner here only to get benched behind Green. So that means that Jeff Green must be going elsewhere...

Here's the problem though, Falk is Green's agent too. Not sure Falk would have Turner sign in Boston without any assurances from Ainge that it wouldn't cause a Green departure.

It could be that Green is getting traded. Evan doesn't play well in limited minutes.
