I'm all for trading anyone for value, but Rondo for a center who may be good in 4-5 years, a PF that we have a thousand of, a backup pg and a first in the high 20s??? Really???

I wouldn't do the Rondo deal. I think if the Celtics were willing to trade Rondo for that type of package he would already be moved. I hope if we deal Rondo we get much more.

Maybe it makes me a Pollyanna, but I don't feel liquidating the entire roster is necessary in order to restore us to being a contender again.

rockets are going to push hard. No way they go into the year worse than they were last season. 

Danny likes players like Jones. Big, Athletic, talented. Would provide some decent rim protection upfront. Capela is a project but could be a real good one down the road.  Canaan was a top 3 SL player.  This kid is a tank like Smart but has a refined jump shot.  Danny again like these kind of players. plus a first

Again, your trades (both to Houston and to Washington) are simply impossible by the rules of the CBA.  Why not defend something that can actually happen?

Agreed. I think Cs have enough "assets" to begin to start packaging and trading for higher quality talent. Of course,mew may be buyers,but the big question is whether there are any sellers out there. I think this is why there are so many Monroe and J. Smith trade ideas (both have been rumored to be on the block).

For next season we either try to win or go for a full rebuild (with making 8th as a nice surprise)

Who can we get that gives us a chance to win it all?? Nobody is available

Having Green and Rondo is nice for a 1st round playoff exit at best so we need to aim for long term success.

Danny didn't draft Smart 6th in order for him to come off the bench (at worse starting next season).  AB is signed to a deal that would pay him half what Rondo is going to ask for
