correct me if i'm wrong
if we are rebuilding through smart we need a young center for our future
zeller is a descent 2nd back-up center
put sully and kelly as PF
faverani 3rd big

bass is gone
anthony gone

if we want to rebuild and get younger
pressey sully kelly smart young faverani babb (our rebuilding players)
bradley and johnson = some more years for us
this are the guys that should stay

any teams need a descent big who can play for more years in your team
philly got some good big guys via draft
okc since harden left, they need SG and C
kobe needs gasol bynum oneal to win
d-wade need oneal
lebron with oneal didn't work out
if nets lopez was not injury prone they should be at least at the top

since kg left for us, i don't see anyone who could replace what they gave us
but having those guys who are young and sure contributor right away, i would not be sad

we are set for the future

PG's pressey young smart bradley
SG's bradley young smart babb
SF's none (johnson) (VIA DRAFT Combo SF/PF and Combo SF/SG)
PF's sully kelly
C's (Starting C) zeller as back-up C, faverani as 3rd C

I prefer getting Windhorst. He's been retired for a long time, but I think he can still play. He was pretty deadly in transition.

Boy that 1987 draft was a good one. David Robinson, Scottie Pippin, and 9 year old prodigy  Windhorst

It was a famously flubbed infographic. It was 23 points and 29 boards, I believe.

If we're rebuilding I wouldn't want to give up any remotely decent asset--def not a 1st rd pick--for a 28 yo career backup who in his "breakout" year last year averaged 9pts/6rb in 21 min/gm. I'd rather roll the dice with Zeller as our primary C for the simple fact that he's young and still has potential to develop into something a little better than that. Maybe a 2nd rounder to add depth at C, though I think something like Bass for Mozgov (maybe + 2nd rd pick) would be okay. Denver traded for Afflalo so they could be looking to make a playoff push and want to add a skilled veteran like Bass. Mozgov has a team option for '15-16 so there would be no financial hit if he's a bust.

You need to send them a young center who no one doubts is starting caliber as part of the package.

I want us to get  gorgui deing

this is from espn
Digest this: In terms of how much these rookies will likely impact the league, Dieng has proved to be the one guy who can lead this class over the next five years or so. Had Minnesota played him from day one, he'd be the Rookie of the Year.

We're talking about the complete package for a center in today's NBA -- rebounding, shot-blocking, paint protection (long arms, quick feet, and active and aggressive hands are the perfect storm), perimeter shooting, quick slashes to the rim, excellent finishing skills in the paint, and a deft feel for interior passing.

Dieng has shown he has all those tools -- which, by the way, also helped his college team win a title last spring. This large and agile man is a double-double machine who has sprinkled in monster games with consistently productive ones. It is fair to suggest that he has All-Star potential.

  espn has him here http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10792969/rookie-watch-all-rookie-teams?ex_cid=espnapi_public
