There's no way that would work.  We'd be sending about 31 mill in salary and only taking back about 10.

well i stated principal pieces.  We can also get D Williams, Terry, Outlaw etc. Waive Terry Outlaw

I know this idea will not be popular in this forum. But it could end up that this kind of trade ends up happening by the trade deadline anyways.

I think because they have Gay, they would not give us what Green is worth (he is worth something now that his peers got filthy rich this off season).

I do really like Stauskas though.....

I would do Rondo for Thompson and Stauskas.  I don't think they would be interested in Green.

Stauskus has been impressive at the SL. The klay thompson comparisons are not off

this is just god awful.

you propose to give up the 3 best players in this deal by far for
- a rookie SG who's D was a concern in the draft.  A player we passed on by the way in favor of Smart.
- a second year player that was horrible in his rookie year.
- a PF/C who at best would be called a 'never was'.  Thompson has never realized the potential he was expected to have
- 2 first rounders from a team that once they get these 3 players from the C's will make the playoffs in the West and thereby make those picks late in the round.

horrible, horrible trade

For what it's worth, Cousins has called Rondo the best point guard in the NBA.  Rondo to the Kings makes a lot of sense.  I know he said he wouldn't re-sign there, but the Kings may be willing to gamble.

Rondo for Mclemore filler and a bunch of unprotected future picks. 2017, right to swap in 2018, and 2019 pick.

Kings are on their way 'up' to be an eighth seed in the brutal west. I think they will be back in the gutter soon and we could have some more lotto picks.

We need a better player in return for Rondo.  I don't want it to be all draft picks.  McLemore is a total risk.  He may end up on the Red Claws.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Aside from all that there's not much else wrong with it though.

Green is a decent SF with a decent contract...no need to include him.

McLemore is horrible.  I would take Staukas though.  But McLemore I would not top with a ten foot pole.   He is oft compared to Ray Allen but I think he may be the next Trajan Landon.

This trade is so lop sided giving Green and AB, too?
