Boston has had a good offseason so far, they haven't made big splashes but are making really smart moves. And here are three more smart moves that will help the rebuild move faster.

1. Trade with Brooklyn Nets Again:

Nets receive: SF/PF Jeff Green, PF Brandon Bass and 2015 Protected 1st RD pick (unless a 2nd)

   Celtics Receive: C Brook Lopez

2. Sign SF Evan Turner or SF Wesley Johnson to a 1yr contract with a TO.

3. Sign C Colton Iverson!!!

2014-15 Celtics Roster:

Starters:
PG- Rajon Rondo
SG- Avery Bradley
SF- Evan Turner or Wesley Johnson
PF- Jared Sullinger
C- Brook Lopez

Bench:
Kelly Olynyk, PF/C
Marcus Smart, PG/SG
Marcus Thornton, SG
Tyler Zeller, C
James Young, SF/SG
Chris Johnson, SF
Colton Iverson, C
Gerald Wallace, SF/SG
Phil Pressey, PG
Vitor Faverani, C or Mike Moser, PF (D-League Standout)

Would you be happy with this roster if we never made it out of the first round?

I would because we can build with this roster and we can become a contender again.

I like it, do you?

Biggest hangup: Evan Turner's more or less useless without the ball in his hands, and we don't have a whole lot of talent on the bench: lots of depth, though.

The question after that becomes what kind of offense do you see this team running? What sort of defense?

I could pull it off in zero moves.

Don't tank.

You really think this current roster can make the playoffs?

Can I have some of your Kool Aid?

Could this roster make the playoffs?  Sure, if Rondo's back to his old self, the younger guys make big steps forward, and some things break our way.

Will it?  Probably not.

PS the Jonestown crew drank Flavor-Aid, Kool-Aid was too fancy.  ;)

I'm just looking for enough enthusiasm to burst through a wall.

Fair enough.

We are already 7th to 8th bound with the current roster. Just need to add one more center and get rid of faverani

You realize that in all likelihood, any gain our team has over last year's finish is going to be due to your favorite player of all time, Rajon Rondo?

Unfortunately I do think they can. As the roster is right now they are 7 or 8 seed first round exit team. If they don't tank.

First round exit unless we face the pacers or the raptors then we might have a chance

Good one, but should I laugh or cry now...

Respectfully, I'll have some of whatever you're smokin'!  No closer, no rim protection(still), and inconsistent shooting! Or consistently---bad shooting! Lost arguably our best player from last year in KHump, Sully rumored to be turning himself into Big Baby Davis, KO galavanting around the world instead of working on his game, Phil Presseys' shot got WORSE(thought that was impossible, but shot about 18% is SL), one of our 1st rounders with a neck injury and can't even get on the court, and Vitor seems to have fallen off the face of the earth! and the smoke from the fireworks has settled and we're left with Tyler Zeller and the shell of MThornton, no FA has even looked in the direction of Massachusetts, and GWallace, KBogans, and BBass are still on the team!  And that's the GOOD news!!
The bad news is everyone in the East is getting better through FA, trades, or good lottery picks, while DA has apparently gone underground.  Philly is about the only team I can see us finishing ahead of right now, and that's only that's only cause they are one seriously tanking team!! But in two or three years, wouldn't you like to be them!!??
