LOL! Just picked up the CD tonight. Going to be listing to that while I work tomorrow!

It's okay if I keep posting the videos, though, right?  On the 9th day, Al rested ;)

Of course. The videos are the best!

Okay, good.  I just didn't want to be annoying.  These parodies are on the Eat It and Nirvana levels, imho.  He's never made a bad album, and I especially enjoyed party in the cia ;D from Alpocalypse, but I felt that the videos were lacking a bit.  This, though?  This is a MASTERPIECE!

I think it's safe to say that he's got the whole world asking how he do that ;)

Owned.  Just completely owned ;D

Oh my god that is awesome. I never knew a Weird Al song could be comically dark. You need that kind of melancholy beat from Royals. But wow. So wow.

Ahahaha, sounds awesome man!  I read a bit of his interview with NPR, and I think he said that this might be the best album of his career.  Would you agree?  With his track record, I couldn't believe that he said such a thing, and I didn't want to be let down by high expectations, but this has been phenomenal!

Yeah I could see that. It's really solid CD and he hasn't lost anything. I loved the last album, I'd have to listen to it again to compare. I'd say at least top 3 at the worst.

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Weird Al's enduring success in pop music has got to one of the most incredible stories in rock and roll history.  Weird Al's first hit songs came out in the early 80s, besides maybe U2, can you think of any other artist that was around in that era that is still relevant?

*edit* and by relevant I mean have a song that could get some love on top 40 radio.

That episode was the last straw for me, used to be a massive fan of the simpsons since Tracy Ullman days. Weird Al ages like a good wine though  :)

I agree.  These videos are on the Eat It level, especially Handy.  Omfg I cannot get enough of that one, haha.  If there was one song that he parodied that I wish he'd made a video for, it would have to be couch potato.  That was incredible.

Absolutely, TP!  You know you've made it in the music industry when Al spoofs one of your songs; and to anyone who says that his isn't 'real music,' they're 1000% correct - it's more than just music.  It's ART!
