Oh? RT @GoodmanESPN: Evan Turner has received interest from Boston and Minnesota, a source told ESPN.

A source.

It was Evan Turner. Calling Collect. Please Accept The Charges.

Not the type of good locker room guy you want to expose to a young team. Especially when we seem to already have depth at his position.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Turner would be a nice pickup.

I know he didn't pan out in Indy, but it sounds like Indy wasn't exactly the most stable team last season.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
I think he could be had for low money on a short term deal. He's got a nice all around game, can score + rebound + facilitate pretty well. Why not?
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

he's been good though inconsistent during his 76ers days

If Turner would take a 1 year make good deal i would like to see Brad Stevens take a crack at coaching him. He has talent. Now and then those high pick busts just need time and a change of scenery to get it together.

My concern is that i don't know how he would fit on the team playing time wise. This team is actually stacked 1-4. If you play him over Gerald Wallace you are gonna have a very vocal 20 million dollar complainer.

He also isn't a shooter. At this point the Celtics only need more shooting if they add perimeter players.

I think i just talked myself out of signing Evan Turner for anything above the cut-able minimum.

The Celtics are in the Asset Collection stage so anyone who's got potential who you can buy low on....I'd say do it.  He's certainly not going to determine whether we contend or not, so why not?

He didn't pan out in Philly either.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Lol only reason we'd want this bum is to flip him into a Kevin love package.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Makes alot of sense if Green is moved and a ton is Rondo and Green are moved. He is only 25 and his value is bottomed out. He has more talent then crawford and look at the production the Cs got out of him last season.

If Green is shipped out he becomes starting SF. If both RR and Green are moved he could start at SF and backup the PG.

I would like the signing as a piece to a bigger rebuilding plan.

+1000 . Exactly, at this point, any asset or player we acquire I automatically assume is going to used as bait for FLip.

Amen that the Cavs aren't giving up wiggins.

Ok What am I missing on him?  Celtic's roster aside, wh6yt are people hating on Evan?  He got better in each of his seasons in Philly.  He went for 13/6/4 two years ago and 17/6/3.7 this year in Philly.  His percentages aren't great but they are not awful.
