Look for Rockets to re-enter trade game for longtime Houston target Rajon Rondo as well as try to work their way into mix for Kevin Love

Stein explained that Houston didn't match Parsons offer from Dallas because they still want to chase "starry" players....

The Rockets have nothing to entice me with. They've given up their only two intriguing assets in Parsons and Asik. If I'm Danny I get a good 10 second laugh in when they call and then Morey will just hear click.

A Morey pipe dream, he's become delusional now.

Ditto.

Parsons, Asik, and picks may have been interesting but that ship has sailed.

The Rockets are basically having the offseason from hell so far. Struggling to trade Asik, outsmarted themselves on Parsons, saw Bosh stay...

I also didn't realize that Houston sent its 2015 picks to the Lakers as part of the Lin deal.
I think the only real asset Houston has at this point is the pick from New Orleans (has that deal gone through yet?)
Celtics fan for life.

If they want to send us Harden, then sure.

'Til then, there's nothing to talk about.

Shows how fickle team building can be. One week Houston looks prime to get the players that could really contend. Now they are grasping. I dont think Morey will panic though. He has shown patience before.

They do not gave the assets for Rondo, but maybe a third team gets involved?

Also, if Hou is in the picture for love, why would cleveland facilitate he asik deal to lear space for him?

ESPN reported that the Ariza and Asik become a 3-team deal:

Rockets out - Asik
Rockets in - Ariza, Gee, Hopson & NO 2015 protected 1st pick

Pelicans out - Ely, Gee, Hopson & NO 2015 protected 1st pick
Pelicans in - Asik

Wizards out - Ariza
Wizards in - Ely & $8.5 million TE

Amateurs worry about equipment, professionals worry about money, masters worry about light… I just take pictures…

only guy i'd want is Harden and even that want is minimal. plus i'd only want him if Rondo was here. sooo yeah, not interested!

so that probably means it'll happen. we'd be competing with Phoenix for an all-guard lineup.

Nothing for a trade but Rondo will be a free agent in 12 months time. Houston can clear enough salary to offer Rondo a max or near max contract then.

The guy we wanted just signed with Dallas, no thanks to Houston.  Clint Capella is not worth Rondo.

I, too, would like to trade my bucket of nothing for your something (however much you value your something).
