Okay, I can kind of understand resigning Chalmers, even to be your third guard off of the bench, but I thought that Mr. Anderson was headed to Cleveland.  I'm confused.

The Heat will re-sign point guard Mario Chalmers and big man Chris Andersen, a person familiar with the deal told USA TODAY Sports.

The person requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly until the deals were announced by the team.

Miami must be a fun place to live. I look forward to seeing what all these guys can do without James.

Good news. Two more quality role players to fill out supporting cast.

PG - Chalmers, N.Cole, Napier
SG - Wade,
SF - Deng
PF - McRoberts
 C - Bosh, C.Andersen

Haslem to return as well although I hope they get another PF in to play ahead of him. And use Haslem as third stringer instead of main rotation guy.

Still a fair bit of work to do to finish out that bench. Surely not much money left to spend.

I'm guessing that it's mostly about the strip clubs and lack of a state income tax.  Oh yeah, and the strip clubs ;D  Haven't you ever seen Stephen A talk about SOUTH BEACH lol? ;D

Marc Stein says that Chalmers is signing for two years, $4 mil per.

Not crazy about that, considering Cole and Napier are on the roster.

No news for them signing Haslem and Wade back right??

The pretty much only have minimum contracts to offer from here on out, unless I'm forgetting an exception.

With Pau signing in Chicago, could Boozer be amnestied?  If so, I have a feeling that Pat Riley would somehow find a way to get him there, and that team would definitely be a threat in the east, imo.

Napier, Chalmers
Wade, Chalmers, Granger
Deng, Granger
Boozer, McRoberts, Mr. Andersen, Haslem, Granger
Bosh, Mr. Andersen, McRoberts

Hmmm.  Interesting.

So the Heat and Cavs essentially just swapped Deng and Lebron. Good trade for the Cavs ;)

Do they have enough star power to even consider the possibility of having a 'supporting cast' lol?

Don't forget Lebrick's bff, Ray Ray (assuming that he signs in Cleveland, of course) ::)  Did you know that they vacation together?  Ugh.  I hate Ray Allen even more now.  What a tool.

I don't think Miami can depend on Napier playing regular minutes next season. Signing another PG was necessary.
